Surveillance Information Server
The Surveillance Information Server II is our second-generation web-based Mission
Map Display and Reporting ground system. It is designed to receive and store
both real-time and post-mission surveillance data, as well as multimedia files,
directly from the A.D.A.M. VII data management system.
As a web-based
application, S.I.S. II was designed to be robust, secure and scalable while
providing distributed access to your valuable surveillance data. With the
continued advances in web technology, the design of S.I.S. II has involved the
use of the latest technologies and development environments, including SVG
(Scalar Vector Graphics), XML (eXtensible Markup Language), Microsoft’s
Internet Information Server, Active Server Pages/Visual Basic, and SQL Server.
With a centrally located S.I.S. II server, authorized users are able to access
historical and near real-time data through the use of thin web-browser clients.
Additionally, S.I.S. has a flexible security model to allow the control of the
data displayed to multiple clients using the same system. Its administrative
interface allows the control over the Navigational and Data access throughout
the system. S.I.S. also supports data extraction and transfer in OTH-Gold
Standard Format and interfaces with C4I systems.
